Gareth & Rhian starred in the Your Hunter Valley Wedding Planner Edition 8 fashion shoot. The young couple enjoyed a day of photography, set in the absolutely gorgeous surrounds of TOCAL HOMESTEAD.

“Having our photo taken for the Hunter Valley Wedding Planner magazine was great fun.

The photo shoot was at the Tocal Homestead, which to say the least is a beautiful location with a multitude of picturesque settings.

The staff were very friendly, and fantastic at creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The photo shoot also gave us a great chance to try out several different styles and a range of wedding attire, which have been great for inspiring new ideas for our own wedding.

While the day was long, we had a great time and having our photo taken for a magazine was an awesome experience that we would definitely be willing to do again should the opportunity arise. We would also recommend it to anyone else wanting to give it a go.”

Finding a Videographer/ Cinematographer for your wedding day can be an overwhelming task. Where do you start and how do you know that you are hiring someone who will produce work that you like?

When considering a Videographer/Cinematographer keep in mind the following 5 tips:

1. Decide on what you like and the style you are after. Would you like a documentation of the day or a meaningful and creative production about who you are as a couple?

2. Listen to referrals. Word of mouth and reputation is the best indication of quality and service.

3. Do your research and ask questions. What is included in the package and what isn’t? Is the full length film edited and how long is post production (editing) time?

4. Choose a photographer and videographer who have a similar style or approach. Or, ideally use a company that offers both services to avoid conflicting styles.

5. It is imperative that you meet with the Videographer/Cinematographer that you are considering. This will give you a true understanding of their personality and style.

This is an extremely important aspect as they will be with you for the majority of the day!
